Chester`s Barbeque in Columbus

Today taste like the Chester back , when they first open. I haven't been to Chester in about two years because I felt that the quality wasn't the same. Please, keep it tasting like the Chester that care and that Steve Harvey bragged about. Best in town today. March 26 2019

Stopped here and got a nice set of ribs in a mustard sauce! Super affordable and nice staff

Its a "No" for me when the only barbeque sauce option is a yellow green mustard sauce. I had no idea that was going to be on my food. Couldn't eat it, ruined my lunch.

Most say price is nice food is so good

I love Chester BBQ I probably go there maybe once every two weeks or so I only able to 4-star because sometimes it could be a little bit salty and I don't want my blood pressure to go up but other than that I love Chester BBQ

Wonderful place with great food

This is for the location on Northstar Drive. I waited an hour for ribs after being told that the wait would be about 30 minutes. In the meantime there were people picking up orders. There were lines almost out of the door. The man behind the counter never acknowledged the rest of the customers. About 45 minutes later a young later asked if anyone wanted something other ribs, she would take there orders. I will never go back there because of lack of customer service. He never updated the customers on how long the wait would be.

This place is unreal. The food is absolutely unbelievable.

It's been a while but it's still good. Brunswick stew didn't taste as fresh. Went for a leg quarter tray but they were out. Ended up with a rib tray with double slaw and it was just as good! Pic posted is of my s/o rib tray.

Pros - REALLY good food & good sized portions. Woman at the front counter was nice. Restaurant was cute small & cozy. Cons - There was a yellow topping on my ribs that I didn’t ask for. I didn’t particularly like it so I couldn’t finish my ribs. & my corn was cold on the inside. I can tell they tried to warm it up in a microwave. If my corn wasn’t cold and the yellow sauce wasn’t on my ribs I would’ve given them 5 stars. Now I know to ask for ribs WITHOUT that sauce.

I ordered my food by phone and an hour later I’m still waiting. I wa ms told 20 minutes when I called. So mad, too bad I already paid!

My favorite BBQ place. Always tender meat and deliciously season.

this place has amazing food but the little guy taking your order at the regester has no personality at all and does nothing to assist you but that's the only down fall other than that the food is the best!!

I used to eat there all the time then I stopped because they put to much salt on their ribs. Now I started back, I try to put a order in so I can pick it up on the way to work but they stopped answering the phones! My money is too good for this place anyway! Going to their competitors!!

Ribs are tender and delicious. Cornbread is very good but always seem to run out quickly

Excellent service Great food

This is a little hole in the wall that makes tasty ribs. They remind me of Sim's BBQ in Little Rock, AR. They are small in comparison to a Jim 'N Nicks but they are tender and flavorful. Their in-house mustard base BBQ sauce will throw you at first glance, but it's not bad. The baked beans reminded me of Showboat brand. Skip the coleslaw all together. If these type of ribs are your groove, then you can't go wrong here. If not, you'll be left disappointed.

Only thing that hurts this business is not taking call-in orders. Don’t punish your good patrons for others ignorant behavior. One the best ribs in town but live no where near.

Best Carolina style bbq PERIODT!!! Lol. Anytime I come visit GA, I never leave without a rib tray and extra bbq sauce. It never disappoints!

Humble BBQ joint with all the main offerings you want. Tasty mustard-based sauce that's tangy without being too tart. Mac n cheese is good. Quick, friendly service.

Ordered 2 Lg Chipped sandwiches with 1 side of beans, 1 of mac and 1 slice of pecan pie.You get what you pay for ($14 for all that^)! Good for the price, but sandwich was lacking in sauce, sides were definitely not made in store, and pecan pie isn’t fresh (but we like that type of pecan pie;))Thanks for having us today, Chester’s.

Was the best food wasn't all that after going 2 yrs straight. Food uncooked too much fat on ribs. Customer service was great

The day I went the ribs were so small with hardly any meat on them. They gave 4, however, they were mostly bone. Altogether, it was enough meat on all 4 to equal one actual size rib. The chip bbq sandwich was good though.

Best BBQ AND SAUCE IN COLUMBUS.

We love Chester’s Barbeque but we will never patronize the Veterans Parkway location ever again. Yesterday we went to this store and the ordered a slab of ribs. The cashier was very nice, she put in our order. There was one cook in the back. One of his friends went went back and began talking to him. The cook stopped doing what he was doing and continued to talk to his friend leaning against the counter while customers were waiting. After a period of about 15 minutes the cook kept Looking at us and continuing his conversation we decided to get our money back and leave. This guy must have been very secure in his job to just make customers wait while carrying on a conversation with his friend. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. Our visit was March 5, 2019 around about 2PM.

I love this restaurant! They provide great food, they have a nice menu, The chef in that restaurant is very trained, I enjoy a lot trying all their dishes. The food is consistently of high qualtity, the attitude towards the customers is very good too. I go often to this restaurant and I was never unsatisfied. I recommend this place.

When I was in Columbus Georgia I could not leave until I got some of this barbecue it was the best five golden stars in my opinion

The very best mustard base sauce for the very best ribs in town. I have eaten them all, Chester's is the real deal, just stop by and grab a rack and enjoy! I eat there every Friday and it's the real deal. Oh by the way grab some collards with them ribs, c ya'll Friday!

Great customer service

Stopped off at Chester’s on the way back to Atlanta. This place is hoppin’ for 3:00 in the afternoon! You can here the grill master chopping up the ribs..a familiar sound from a long long time ago. We bought 2 slabs which are grilled all day over a wood fire. Chester’s grills spare ribs, and they are FALL OFF THE BONE tender! Ribs are served in a styrofoam box and sauce is served on the side, because they’re that good! It’s down homey here, no pretense, no circuses!

Chester's has some outstanding BBQ and good prices. They would get a 5 if they had any customer service at all. Seriously I ordered a large sandwich and got one tiny pickle on it. I asked if I could get a few pickles and they wanted to charge me .50 cent... Ok I just spent $9 on a sandwich. Step it up.

They rib taste like they are boil first nasty

Their chopped BBQ sandwich is so delicious, it’s so tender, full of flavor! The gentleman at the counter the counter was so nice too! Hit the spot!

Beef tips have a lot of fat on it.

I come here every time I come home

Chipped sandwiches are expensive now and not a burnt end fan
